ABOUT DAVE

Dave Boetcher has the experience and qualifications to deliver results for Waunakee on the Dane County Board.

A resident of Waunakee’s north side since 1999, David Boetcher is running for Dane County Board of Supervisors in District 25, which includes the entire village of Waunakee. Dave chose to build a home in Waunakee because it was a growing vibrant community with great schools and a good downtown, plus easy access to other parts of Dane County. He has never regretted that decision and has seen it reinforced many times.

Dave grew up in the Eau Claire area and is a 28-year veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves and Wisconsin National Guard, serving overseas in the Gulf War and the Iraq War and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer. He has worked for more than 30 years as a union construction electrician and is currently employed as the business agent for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) 159. He previously was the Wisconsin state lobbyist for the IBEW. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Dave spent three years on the Wisconsin Department of Veterans’ Affairs Board and nine years as an elected member of the Waunakee Community School District Board of Education from 2013 to 2022. He was selected as the Waunakee Neighborhood Connection’s Neighbor of the Year in 2022.

In his free time, Dave enjoys volunteering with local organizations like The Waunakee IDEA and the Friends of Six Mile Creek and working to support the less fortunate in the Waunakee community.
